Mother Earth and Father Sky

sunset

Mother Earth and Father Sky,

Paint an orange sunset
With a purple sky.

Sing with winds whistling,
A soft lullaby.

Greet every morning
With kisses of dew.

Dress every season
In colors brand new.

Dance to the music
Of the cricket's song.

Sleep in the winter,
But don't be gone long.

Renee,
I really enjoyed your poem.

I am beginning to think it will be TOO long before spring!

But, I know, the long winter wait is what makes spring so wonderful!

Your poem painted a beautiful picture!

Truly,
Sylvia C.
